Management Delays Killzone 2, Not Dev. Problems

Sony claims that it was a management decision to push back the release of the PS3-exclusive shooter Killzone 2. The decision was made to avoid an overcrowded release schedule, it seems. Killzone 2, as revealed earlier, should be on sale come February 2009, both in the United States and Europe.

"To be clear, there is nothing wrong or causing a delay to the development of the title,” said SCEA’s Ron Eagle. "We had to look at the fall calendar with SOCOM, LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Resistance 2, plus some PSN titles and make a decision where each game should come out."

According to Ron, Killzone 2 features fully customizable controls (someone pinch me!). He also said that plenty of info about the game should become available in the coming months.
